Task
Shelf presence is everything and a product's packaging design has the potential to either make or break its success. Metatron was asked to create a visual packaging that combined the key elements of visual impact, persuasion and brand equity to engage consumers.
Solution
To highlight its premium status, a crystal clear flint glass bottle was selected out of hundreds of bottles evaluated. The curvaceous bottle creates a highly tactile and aesthetic appeal that accentuates the brand's personality encouraging consumers to reach out, touch and examine the product. The graphic is focused on leveraging the brand's primary visual equity – the color red. All extraneous elements were stripped off the label to allow the natural crimson red of the oil to shine through. The color of the oil clearly marks the brand for easy in-store identification in the cooking oil aisle, giving the product a visible advantage over other oils. The result, an engaging and memorable brand presence that passes the impulse-purchase test.
